In Textbook Manager circulation offers multiple methods of checking out textbooks.

This table defines the methods and their differences:
| Check out method | Details |
|---|---|
| To Patron | Allows you to check out textbooks directly to the student. For details see, Check out textbooks to patron. |
| By Class | Allows you to check out textbooks for a whole class or allows you to check out the textbooks for all the student's classes (select student first. For details see, Check out textbooks by class. |
| To Teacher | Allows you to check out textbooks directly to the teacher with or without specifying a particular class. For more detail, see Check out textbooks to teacher. |
note: For the multiple checkout methods (above) to appear in Destiny, the applicable settings in Back Office > Site Configuration > Circulation must be selected.
Before You Begin
important: You can modify the settings mentioned in the following list in Back Office.
Before you can successfully check out textbooks using the By Class or To Teacher method, verify the following:
- Classes are established /in system
- Classes have defined sections
- Class sections have a current loan period
- Sections have a teacher assigned (teacher's patron record has the Currently Teaching, Yes checkbox selected)
- Class section has the applicable patrons assigned
- Class has a textbook assigned
