Destiny gives you flexibility in how you set up your library policies. Library policies are assigned rules and restrictions that are assigned to a patron. Library policies are made up of patron types and circulation types.

Example: You have two patron types, student and faculty. In addition to the patron types, there are also circulation types. The student patron type is allowed to check out materials for one week (circulation type). The faculty patron type is allowed to check out materials for an unlimited amount time (circulation type).

There are many more settings for patron types and circulation types, as you will see as you create these library policies.

To set up Library Policies select Back Office > Library Polices.
