Set up patron types (Textbook)

You can group patron types, such as students and faculty. Patron types are associated with circulation policies.

The patron types you set up appear when Destiny displays information, exports patron records, edits patrons and generates reports.

important: You can set up patron types in Library Manager and Textbook Manager. If both products are installed, the setup is shared.

To set up patron types in Textbook Manager

1. In Destiny, change your view to Textbook View.
2. Select Back Office > Textbook Policies > Patron Types sub-tab.
3. Click Patron Type.
4. Populate the fields accordingly. There is pop-up help () available for most of the fields.
5. When you are done, click Save.
6. When you have your patron types set up, you need to assign them appropriate access levels.
