Check out eTextbooks

important: You can only check out eTextbooks from the To Patron tab. You can only check eTextbooks out by keyword or View Classes.

note: If the Allow patron to view in My Info box was selected when the eTextbooks were cataloged, then when you (students / admins) are logged in, you can see your checked out eTextbooks in My Info.

To check out an eTextbook

1. Select Circulation > Check Out Text > To Patron sub-tab.
2. Make sure the cursor is in the Find field, and then scan the patron barcode. The patron information appears in the Check Out Text page.
3. Click the <patron's name> link.
4. How do you want to check out eTextbooks?

   By…	Then …
   Keyword	In the Find box, type the name of the eTextbook , then click Find Copy. Wildcards are supported. Enter the first few characters and an asterisk (*), then choose from the list. Find the eTextbook () to check out, click Check Out. The eTextbook appears in the Checked Out section. Repeat the above steps for additional checkouts.
   View Classes	In the Patron information section, click View Classes. The View Classes page opens. A list of eTextbooks assigned to the patron and class opens. Find the eTextbook () to check out, click Check Out. The eTextbook appears in the Checked Out section. Click the Check Out Text breadcrumb. You will see the eTextbook in the Items Out list. To print out a circulation receipt, see Print circulation receipts. Repeat the above steps for additional checkouts.
